Decorative Plates and bowls

I don't make a clean distinction between functional pottery and art. The most beautiful things I've made are also the ones that were built to be used — a plate that's been on someone's table for twenty years, a bowl that's been washed a thousand times.

These pieces sit at that edge. They're food-safe and dishwasher safe. But the glazes run and pool in ways that make each one singular — something that catches the eye from across the room. Hang one on a wall, put fruit in it, or just set it on a shelf where you can see it. The object will hold up its end of the deal.
