wheel, that conversation between maker and material is still what drives me. Not the

finished piece, exactly. The process of getting there.

There is something irreplaceable about holding an object that was shaped by human hands.

You can feel the difference, even if you can’t explain it. That’s what I’m after — that transfer

of intention from my hands to yours, through a mug, a bowl, a pitcher, a vase. Something

useful. Something that carries the mark of how it was made.
